Aftercare, Guarantees and Damages

Your parasols can stay outdoors all year round in the warm sunny climate of the GCC. It does
need to be washed with water to remove any dust, sand, or sea salt. This ensures your parasols will remain in good shape and have a long life. We suggest you clean them once a month to ensure they are always looking their best.

Yes, we do. 4 years in the GCC, Asia and Southeast Asia and 8 Years in Europe and North
America.

Send pictures to our customer service department and they’ll recommend the best course of
action.

Not at the moment. We currently send damaged parasols back to Italy, where our experienced
team will repair and refit where necessary. However, local after care is something we intend to
do soon.

Manufacturing

They are 100% made in Italy. That’s the aluminum pole, the arms, the plastic components, the
fabric, and fasteners.

When we decided to launch our parasol business, we knew we wanted quality. With Italy’s rich
heritage in master craftmanship and fabrics, plus being an excellent holiday destination where
parasols have been perfected over the years, it wasn’t a hard decision to choose Italy.

Custom Designs

Yes, we can custom design the parasols to match your beach club, pool deck, outdoor café, or
restaurant. Please contact one of our sales agents and we’ll get back to you on the next steps.
We do have a minimum order for this which is 10 pieces.

Specifications

Tempotest Fabric is used on all our standard parasols which are made for hospitality use and
are of a marine quality. This means they do not fade or tear.

Yes, it does. The fabric is UV resistant which means it does not bleach in the sun, like many of
our competitors. https://www.para.it/en/company/what-we-do/

No, it’s not. It will give some minor protection with light rainfall. Should proper rainproofing be
required, then this is a specialist product. However, Tempotest is water repellent.

Yes, all our umbrellas are made for beachfront use. We use aluminum poles and marine quality
Tempotest Fabrics are all made to resist the salty corrosive effects of being by the sea.

We use 100% anodized aluminum poles which are very light but thick, making them robust
and free from rust. Our fabric is made from marine quality 100% solution-dyed acrylic which is
coated in Dupont Teflon. This means our fab fabric is fungal, water, oil, stain, and UV repellent.
The quality stitching, bindings and fasteners won’t perish in the elements either. Basically,
nothing will rust, tear or fade for a long, long time giving you an excellent return on
investment.

Why are they unique?

We have deliberately gone out of our way to design parasols which are different. Different in
the way they look and ultimately how they make you feel. By using vibrant colours and
contrasting borders, a Posh Parasol will bring new fun and a retro style energy to the outdoors.
Allowing your space to pop with colours that make your heart sing! And there is no
compromise on quality.

Parasols & Umbrellas

A parasol is a larger structure that’s used to protect yourself and your friends from the sun. An
umbrella is smaller and is used to protect yourself from the rain. However, parasols and
umbrellas are often used in the same context or mean the same thing.

If you want to be technically correct, then a hotel parasol is used to provide shade from the
sun (let’s imagine you lounging by the pool under a cool parasol) and a hotel umbrella is used
to stop you getting wet (let’s imagine the concierge is there to open the car door with an
umbrella when you arrive at your hotel and its pouring down with rain!)

Hospitality parasols are a round or square structure with a central pole and ribs (or arms) which
create shade. They are made to a higher specification than most domestic or residential
parasols. They need to be a high performing item as they get heavily used (hotels and
restaurants rarely close), they need to have longevity (parasols are not replaced every year, the
budgets don’t allow for that) and they need to look good and enhance the overall look and
feel of a space.

Umbrellas use a water repellent cloth or plastic to prevent water seeping through, essentially
making them waterproof.

What Styles do you offer?

We offer 10 different styles of parasols in 2 different sizes. The Bali and the Capri are portable
parasols, they are smaller at 2.20m diameter, so you can bring them to the beach or picnic.
The other 8 designs Marrakesh, Lake Como, Palm Springs, Beverly Hills, Venice, Santorini,
Amalfi, St Bart’s are larger at 3m diameter, so are heavier and are made to stay on a terrace,
beach club or pool deck.

Which one is right for my project?

The best way to select the right parasol is to decide on how it will be used. Will it be a
moveable parasol (for example will you move it along the beach following the sun) or will it
stay in one location (you will not move the parasol standing) what space do you have (is it for
example an outdoor café parasol or a beach club parasol?) and what ambience do you want to
create? Then look through our web site or downloadable brochure, select an existing model or
chose your own colour combinations. Our talented sales agents are always here to help go
through the final order to make sure it’s the right product and that the lead time and delivery
dates work with your programme.

Placing an order

How are Posh Parasols different?

At Posh Parasols we like to do things differently. Firstly, we like to look after our clients like no
one else and secondly, we like to design good quality, handmade, bespoke, fun parasols.
How do you do that? By working with the most experienced craftsmen. This ensures our
designs reach their full potential (It’s a great collaboration, they tell us what can and cannot
work and yet we often push back and ask, why not?).

Charity

We also pledge to give 2% of our profit to charity as we believe what goes around comes
around. In the UAE this must be done through approved government bodies. We have chosen
to give to charities that help lower income homes to educate their children. As this is mostly
done religious institutions, we have decided to donate to the 3 main religions in the region
which are Islamic, Hindu, and Catholic.

B2C or personal use

Now we are a B2B only business and so do not sell to the public. However in the near future
we intend to do so. We’ll keep you posted.
